Air con not cooling, leaking water, or completely dead after a storm? Our refrigeration mechanics handle breakdowns every day, on all major brands.
Marsh Air Conditioning is an authorised Daikin Specialist Dealer and Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Dealer providing residential air conditioning repairs across Brisbane’s northern suburbs. The business operates out of Everton Hills, has been on the tools for 15 years, and is licensed by the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARCtick) for refrigerant handling.
Most repair callouts we attend fall into one of six patterns. If your symptoms match, you’re in the right place.
Usually is a sign of a refrigerant leak that’s developed over time. Could also be a compressor issue or an electrical fault. Refrigerant doesn’t get used up, so if it’s low, there’s a leak somewhere that needs to be addressed.
Most often a blocked condensate drain. Easy to fix once we’re on site. Worth booking in quickly though, because the water can damage walls, ceilings, and flooring while you wait.
A blown PC board from a power surge. This is one of our most common callouts during storm season. The board needs replacing with a genuine part ordered direct from the manufacturer.
Rattling, buzzing, or grinding usually points to a fan motor on the way out. Could also be a loose component or debris that’s worked its way inside. Worth attending to early. Fans that fail completely tend to take other components with them.
The code itself tells us where to start looking. Take a photo of it before you call. It speeds up diagnosis and gets your technician ready before they arrive.
We wish we were joking. Geckos get into the outdoor unit and short out the boards. It’s a real, frequent and frustrating issue in Brisbane and the repair can be costly.
Whilst some electricians have completed a Cert 2 to install AC split systems, they are generally not qualified to handle refrigerant and therefore limited in what repairs they can complete.
Most air conditioning faults aren’t electrical. We have a dedicated air conditioning repair team lead by Joel and Jonas. Breakdowns are their full-time work. They hold ARCtick licences for refrigerant handling and they go through regular manufacturer training with Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric.
Getting the right technician in, and diagnosis right the first time saves you paying twice.
We’re an authorised Daikin Specialist Dealer and Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Dealer. That means we’re certified to carry out warranty work on these brands, with genuine manufacturer parts. If your unit is under warranty, going to an unauthorised repairer can void the cover. We’re the people Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric send to warranty claim jobs.
We hold trade accounts with the major suppliers, so we can order parts and complete repairs across most brands you’re likely to have at home. We’ll tell you upfront whether a repair is economical or whether replacement makes more sense. No pressure either way.
Use the form or call the office. We’ll ask a few questions about the unit, the symptoms, and your suburb. That helps us match you with the right technician and the best time slot.
We don’t promise a specific time, because traffic and earlier jobs make that unrealistic. However, we do give you a 2-hour window and contact you if anything changes before then.
Your technician arrives, talks through the symptoms you’ve been noticing, and runs a diagnostic on the unit. Most faults are identified within the first 30 minutes on site.
If the repair can be completed on the spot with parts on the truck, we’ll let you know what it costs before we start. If parts need to be ordered, we’ll quote you for the repair job and book a return visit. Either way, no work goes ahead without your sign-off.
Diagnosing an air conditioning fault takes time. We’re upfront about how that’s charged.
Our call-out fee covers the first 30 minutes on site. After that, time is billed in 15-minute increments, so you only pay for the time your technician needs.
If the diagnostic identifies a quick fix and the parts are on the truck, we can often complete the repair in the same visit at the same call-out. If parts need to be ordered, the diagnostic still pays for itself. You walk away with a fault identified, a firm quote, and a clear path forward.
We’re also upfront if the unit can’t be repaired economically. We’ll tell you provide a written quote for replacement. The call-out fee still applies in that case, because the technician’s time was spent identifying the problem.
For an estimate before booking, give us a call. Alina in the office will walk you through it.

The cost of an air conditioning repair depends on the fault. A blocked drain repair sits at the low end. A new PC board or refrigerant leak repair sits higher. Marsh Air Conditioning’s call-out covers the first 30 minutes on site, billed in 15-minute increments thereafter. A firm quote is provided after diagnosis, before any further work begins.
Marsh Air Conditioning responds within a few days during cooler months. During Brisbane’s summer peak (December to February), two to three weeks is realistic for non-urgent aircon repairs. Breakdowns are prioritised over scheduled services during peak, so units that are completely down move to the front of the queue. Call our Everton Hills office for a current timeframe.
If a unit can’t be repaired economically, Marsh Air Conditioning provides a written quote for replacement so you can make an informed decision. The diagnostic call-out fee still applies in this case, because the technician’s time was spent identifying the fault.
Marsh Air Conditioning’s technicians carry common consumables and a range of general parts on the truck. Brand-specific or unit-specific parts need to be ordered. Most parts arrive within 5-7 business days and you will then be contacted to arrange installation. The Marsh Air office team can provide a timeframe when quoting the repair.
