As technology continues to develop and our homes are increasingly becoming ‘smarter’, the way we control our air conditioning is also evolving too. Advantage Air, are in our opinion, leading the way in the industry with their home and air conditioning management systems, and are proudly Australian made. Whilst My Place has the ability to control lights, garage doors, blinds and many hard wired appliances – we will naturally focus on the Air Conditioning component.
My Air can be integrated and used in conjunction with My Place, or important to note, can also be used exclusively – you don’t need My Place to operate My Air.
The My Air systems are compatible with most major air conditioning brands, and can be installed with both existing and new ducted air conditioning systems. The system can control up to 10 zones from a touchscreen which is also an Android Tablet. For those customers who wish to control their air conditioning from their mobile phone – the My Air app can then be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices. This will allow the air conditioning to be controlled not only from anywhere in the home, but also whilst out and about.
The benefits of a My Air System don’t stop there.. using an Exact Air Regulator My Air systems also give you the flexibility to control the air flow in each zone as preferred. This can be adjusted in 5% increments. Customers can also choose to install optional Temperature and/or Motion sensors. Advantage Air Individual Temperature Control sensors, can be used in as many rooms as you like and will automatically adjust the airflow to ensure your desired temperature is maintained. This is a particular benefit in rooms whereby the temperature may fluctuate frequently over the course of the day/movement of the sun. Motion sensors are also advantageous to ensure your air conditioning is being used as efficiently as possible. When a room has been empty for 10 minutes, the temperature will automatically be adjusted by 1 degree celsius. After a further 10 minutes, if there is still no motion detected, the temperature will be adjusted by a further 1 degree celsius. Advantage Air state “this small adjustment is enough to reduce the room’s energy usage by up to 20%”.
